I wrote a really long story for this, got to the end and thought this is best left simple much like the accommodation. So here goes... On Tuesday we flew to Melbourne and on learning that we might Be stranded till Thursday decided to drive back to Sydney that night. The trip is about 10 hours, so we thought it best to get at least 6 hours done before resting. My flatmate helped pinpoint 6 hours out of Melbourne and where best to find accommodation, thus begins the road to Gundagai. Our destination The Bushman's Retreat (I only just learnt that all the other motels were booked and when the owners of such were quizzed on other options the Bushman's was a reluctant answer).
The interior is well documented above, if i was asked to describe it best I'd say my grandma set-up a brothel and left a can of dog food on the heater for some incense - Quality!! The whole experience was the beginning, at reception I met the lovely owner who told me 'I wasn't to leave the fucking keys in the room after check out' and who repeatedly asked me if i had any pets in the car then asked if she needed to check the car for pets.
No words can do justice to our experience, however it was an experience!
Two very good friends of VE have set up a game of Photography ping pong. Axel Moline of Get This fame and Bart Celestino from the amazing Love Want each take turns at posting a photo as a reply (to the other) then posting another as a challenge, the idea being that each photo has a similar theme and is shot by the said individual on a film camera. The result genius!!
