This Sunday in Sydney our friends Gabe, Chad and our own Huw are hosting the inaugural Local FC Cup at the NCIE in Redfern, featuring loads of local heroes and legends in their own lunch boxes. If you’re in the area please do drop in, it should be a fun day out.

Debuting on Sunday October 14, The Local FC Cup will bring together friends, peers, and local creatives, at Redfern’s National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) for a ten-team festival of football.
The main spectacle, a six-a-side soccer tournament, will connect Sydney businesses in a friendly yet competitive community sports event.
Key match-ups have already been established, with Vanishing Elephant and Insight set to fight it out in the fashion derby; while Nike versus Red Bull sees a battle of the big boys.
The Havaianas’ crew of Brazilians have firmed as favourites, while creative agencies Holler and Nowhere Famous will be working to prove their commitment to the beautiful game.
Local underdogs include The Grifter Brewing Company, the mixed bag of freelancers from Johnson Athletic, and the NCIE who will be looking to make the home pitch advantage count.
Spectators will also be treated to an authentic Spanish BBQ, cold drinks, music and of course, oranges. Festivities will continue at The Carrington from 5pm.
